The Island of Doctor Moreau is only 126pp long and has some creepy ideas. But I wish there had been more. At one point, kind of hilariously, Predwick tells us he spent 10 months living in the wilds of the island surrounded by creepy beasts but not much happened during this period so he doesn’t need to do into any detail about what happened.
